Affordable Home Physiotherapy in South Yorkshire

Updated: 1 day ago

If you’re looking into private physiotherapy, one of the first questions is often:

How much does it cost – and what am I actually paying for?

At Village Physio, we believe physiotherapy should be clear, practical, and genuinely helpful in everyday life. That means being transparent about cost and also honest about value.

What does home physiotherapy cost in South Yorkshire?

Private physiotherapy prices can vary widely depending on experience, session length, and the type of service provided.

At Village Physio, our home visit physiotherapy sessions are:

  • £95 – £115 per 1-hour session, depending on location (2026 rates)

  • No GP referral required

  • No rushed appointments – always a full hour

We intentionally do not offer shorter 30-minute sessions because for many of the people we see – especially after surgery, illness, or with ongoing mobility challenges – a shorter session simply isn’t enough to assess, treat, and build confidence properly.

Why we don’t compete on price

You may find cheaper physiotherapy options, but it’s important to understand why prices differ. Village Physio is led by a Chartered Physiotherapist with over 12 years of NHS experience, including:

This level of experience means:

  • You’re not just getting exercises – you’re getting clinical reasoning and specialist input

  • Sessions are adapted in real-time based on how your body responds

  • We focus on long-term improvement, not quick fixes

So while we may not be the cheapest option, we aim to be the right level of support when it matters most.

Your health is your wealth – and it’s worth investing in properly.

How we compare to larger physiotherapy agencies

Some national physiotherapy providers and agencies can charge significantly higher rates, often with:

  • Shorter sessions

  • Different therapists each visit

  • Less continuity of care

As a local family-run business, Village Physio offers something different:

  • The same physiotherapist each visit

  • Consistent, personalised care

  • Time to understand you properly

  • A service built around your home and your routine

This means you’re getting specialist-level care, without the inflated costs often seen in larger organisations.

What’s included in a home physiotherapy visit?

A home visit is more than just treatment; your session includes:

  • A full discussion of your symptoms and medical history

  • Assessment of movement, strength, balance, and function

  • Practical treatment and guided exercises

  • Advice tailored to your home environment

Because we come to you, we can work on real-life situations, such as:

  • Getting up from your own chair

  • Managing your stairs safely

  • Moving around your home with confidence

  • Returning to everyday activities that matter to you

Who is home physiotherapy for?

Home physiotherapy can be especially helpful if:

  • Travelling to a clinic feels difficult, painful, or overwhelming

  • You’re recovering after surgery or a hospital stay

  • You’ve had a fall or are worried about your balance

  • You’re living with a neurological condition such as stroke or Parkinson’s

  • You’re supporting a loved one at home

Areas we cover

Village Physio provides home physiotherapy across South Yorkshire, including:

A simple, honest approach to physiotherapy

We understand that cost matters, but when it comes to your health, recovery, and independence, it’s also about:

  • Feeling confident in your therapist

  • Having enough time to be properly assessed

  • Knowing your treatment is tailored to you

At Village Physio, our focus is simple:

Provide high-quality, specialist physiotherapy at home – in a way that actually helps you move and live better.
