Animesh Sundas – Village Physio and Chartered Physiotherapist

I am passionate about physiotherapy and helping older adults to keep active, autonomous and able enough to enjoy their retirement. I have worked for my own private practice at Village Physio for 3 years+, and I have over 10 years’ experience working for the NHS in a wide variety of settings, such as care homes, rehabilitation and palliative care units. I have completed a physiotherapy master’s degree at Sheffield Hallam University.

For my current NHS day job, I work with adults with learning disabilities in the Doncaster community. I am a falls prevention and awareness trainer. During the early stages of the pandemic I volunteered to support the NHS with assessments and treatments of patients recovering from Covid-19. Prior to this I worked at the Assessment and Rehabilitation Centre in Sheffield treating older adults with Stroke, Parkinson’s, spinal cord and brain injuries.

I worked in an intermediate care hospital in Nottingham rehabilitating older adults who had been admitted to hospital with a view to support them back into their own home environment. I have also worked as the inpatient ward specialist Physiotherapist at Northern General Hospital in Sheffield, helping older adults’ complete treatments and assessments to safely discharge them with a care package. Prior to moving to the United Kingdom, I worked as a rotational physiotherapist in India.

I have a current Disclosure and Barring Service Certificate. Scroll down to see my professional affiliations.
