What is COPD?
COPD – Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease – is a long-term lung condition that makes breathing difficult. It includes conditions such as chronic bronchitis and emphysema.
COPD causes narrowing of the airways and damage to lung tissue, making it harder to move air in and out of the lungs.
Although COPD cannot be cured, symptoms can be managed, and quality of life improved with the right support and rehabilitation.
What causes COPD?
COPD develops gradually over time.
